Me: She's downstairs reading.
Mom: [pause] She's reading?
Me: Yeah.
Mom: Like... a book?
Me: Yeah.
Mom: She's reading... a novel... for fun?
Me: It's not a novel. It's that He's Just Not That Into You book.
Mom: Oh. That makes more sense.

Your sister makes me happy sometimes. Mine does too. Because she's really weird. Recently I received a phone call that went like this:
[ring]
Me: Hey sister.
Emily: Is Barack Obama Muslim?
Me: What? Oh, um, no, he's Christian.
Emily: Are you sure?
Me: Yes, he had a whole chapter about it in his book.
Emily: Okay. Bye.
Me: Hey, why did you wan--CLICK--
